BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia is the flagship Canadian venue for FIFA World Cup 2026 and the proud host of some of the most significant matches in the tournament. Canada's largest covered stadium β with a spectacular retractable roof installed during its 2011 renovation β BC Place has a distinguished history in major sporting events, having hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics ceremonies and the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup Final. BC Place underwent a C$563 million renovation in 2011, replacing its original air-supported dome with a state-of-the-art retractable cable-supported roof β the largest in Canada. Getting to BC Place
SkyTrain (Expo / Canada Line)
BC Place's Stadium-Chinatown station (Expo Line) is directly adjacent to the venue. From Vancouver International Airport (YVR), take the Canada Line to Waterfront, then transfer to the Expo Line β total journey approximately 30 minutes. The SkyTrain is fast, cheap and the best option.
Canada Line from YVR
The SkyTrain Canada Line runs directly from YVR Airport to downtown Vancouver. Transfer at Waterfront or Vancouver City Centre to the Expo Line for Stadium-Chinatown. No fuss, no traffic.
Bus
TransLink buses serve the False Creek / Pacific Boulevard area near BC Place. Routes 15, 17 and others stop close to the stadium. Combined TransLink passes cover bus and SkyTrain.
Cycling / Walking
Vancouver has an excellent cycling infrastructure. BC Place is in central downtown β many fans from nearby Yaletown, Gastown or the West End choose to cycle or walk to matches. Vancouver's seawall path runs past the stadium.
